Northern Community Justice Authority
Community Justice Authorities (CJAs) were set up across Scotland to make our communities safer by reducing re-offending and improving the management of offenders. NCJA coordinate the delivery of offender services by councils, voluntary organisations and other partners and ensure close cooperation between community and prison services to aid the rehabilitation of offenders.
Following an in-depth research phase which included stakeholder and target user groups, we designed and developed a new website and customised open source content management system for ease of use and flexibility. A clear, extensible navigational structure was created to house all vital information and user resources, over which the authority management team has complete control. A report and publication module was also created to allow end users to filter and access historical information easily. Finally, a search engine optimisation strategy was put in place and live feeds to social media were implemented throughout the site.
